Australia have recently made drastic amendments to Australian immigration with a number of occupations scrapped and the implementation the Medium And Long-Term Strategic Skills List (MLTSSL) & Short-Term Skilled Occupation List (STSOL) which will take over from the Consolidated skilled occupation list (CSOL) & Skilled occupation list (SOL) of the past.
This came at quite a surprise with yet another unexpected announcement that the Subclass 457 Visas program will be abolished in March 2018 with new visa system that is poised to have stricter processes and complexities.
On a more positive note, there are a number of occupations that remain on the MLTSSL & STSOL.
If you have obtained the right qualifications, and meet the requirements, you could still qualify for an Australian work visa.
The new Australian work visa system will see applicants applying for either a 2-year Short-term visa or a 4-year Long-term work visa.
