Lifestyle

The warm Australian climate is typically conducive to an outdoor lifestyle, meaning many Australians will spend large amounts of time participating in adventurous activities and sports. Australia’s fantastic way of living, magnificent weather, cosmopolitan society, and numerous opportunities for work and play make it one of the most desirable nations on Earth in which to live.

Given the size of Australia as a country, you could spend your whole vacation exploring it. One can be skiing in the Australian Alps and, a couple of hours later, swim at one of the beautiful golden beaches in Queensland. From tropical rainforests and holiday resorts to stunning ancient landscapes, domestic travel offers it all.

Aside from its 500 national parks and 14 world heritage areas, Australia is also home to clean-water coastlines and arid deserts. Along with its distinctive animal kingdom and a wide array of beautiful natural ecosystems, Australia has one of the lowest air pollution levels in the world.

In addition, Australia has one of the most efficient healthcare systems in the world. Notably, there is a private healthcare system as well as Medicare, which offers basic universal health coverage for all Australians.

Furthermore, Australia has an impressive number of study options for international students, with more than 1,200 institutions and 22,000 courses to choose from. Despite its lower population compared to other countries, Australia has the third-highest number of international students in the world, behind the UK and the US.

Culture

Many people, tourists, students, and migrants alike, are drawn to the diverse and welcoming culture of Australia – a product of a rich, multicultural society. In light of this, 43% of Australians were either born overseas or have a parent who was born overseas.

The fact that the earliest Australians founded their communities on the Australian continent up to 60,000 years ago or more is one of the most remarkable cultural facts about Australia. For longer than any other present-day people group on Earth, they have preserved their methods of life, which have remained largely intact in many aspects. Even though European settlers, starting with the Dutch in the late 1600s, had a tremendous effect on Australian culture, their customs continue to this day and are an integral part of it.

Originally an Australian holiday established in 1999 to celebrate diversity, Harmony Day is today observed by conscientious individuals all around the world.

When planning to live, work, study, or visit a cosmopolitan country such as Australia, being aware of the culture is extremely important to ensure you get the most out of your travel.

People

Australia is an advanced, contemporary nation with robust corporate, commercial, and professional sectors. Centred on a society that prioritises keeping a safe, thriving, and tranquil place to live, Australians are recognized for their strong beliefs in genuineness, humility, sincerity, and humour in addition to their nation's belief in equality of opportunity.

Known for their carefree and laidback way of living, Australians usually get along well with people who are modest, humble, courteous, and amiable.

The population of Australia is estimated to be 26,336,160 as of May 3, 2023. Since the early 19th century, people of European descent have formed the vast majority of the population in Australia. Today, Australians of British and other European ancestries are the dominant majority in Australia, estimated at 85–92% of the total population.

Thousands of people move to Australia each year to seek out the many opportunities, and the Australian visa system is structured with this in mind, encouraging all individuals and families who can add value to the country to move to Australia.

When in search of a better life, many potential immigrants choose to immigrate to Australia for a number of different reasons. As a result, job opportunities exist for those who have the right qualifications and skills. While this fact is an enormous plus for certain immigrants, the various ethnic backgrounds of people who live in harmony together in Australia draw others.
